History of Abercynon RFC
Abercynon RFC dates from 1888, during rugby's first great expansion. The WRU had formed in 1881, and clubs were springing up in towns across Wales.
In total, the club has more than 130 years behind it. As a result, it holds a special place for supporters across Rhondda Cynon Taf.
