History of Bristol Bears
Bristol Bears dates from 1888, during rugby's first great expansion. The RFU had formed in 1871, and clubs were springing up in towns across England.
That gives the club more than 130 years of rugby in Bristol. In addition, generations of local players, coaches and volunteers have shaped its story.
