Melrose RFC is a rugby union club in Melrose, Roxburghshire, founded in 1877. Borders club famous for inventing the sevens format of rugby. Their Sevens tournament is the oldest in the world.

Melrose RFC dates from 1877, during rugby's first great expansion. The SRU had formed in 1873, and clubs were springing up in towns across Scotland.
In total, the club has more than 140 years behind it. As a result, it holds a special place for supporters across Roxburghshire.
