History of St Helens RFC
St Helens RFC dates from 1873, before the 1895 split that created the Northern Union. That breakaway, agreed in Huddersfield, became the game we now call rugby league.
Today, the club carries more than 150 years of history into every season. For players in St Helens, Merseyside, that heritage adds real meaning to pulling on the shirt.
