Wigan Warriors is a rugby league club in Wigan, Greater Manchester, founded in 1872. It is the most decorated club in rugby league history with 21 league championships, playing at the DW Stadium.

History of Wigan Warriors
Wigan Warriors dates from 1872, before the 1895 split that created the Northern Union. That breakaway, agreed in Huddersfield, became the game we now call rugby league.
That gives the club more than 150 years of rugby in Wigan, Greater Manchester. In addition, generations of local players, coaches and volunteers have shaped its story.
