North Yorkshire Dales community club competing at national level from their unique hillside ground at The Avenue.
Wharfedale RFC has been a proud part of the rugby union community in Ilkley, West Yorkshire since 1923. The club welcomes players of all ages and abilities and is committed to developing rugby from grassroots to senior level.
Our Story
History & Heritage
Wharfedale RFC was founded in 1923, giving the club over 102 years of history in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. Over the decades the club has grown from humble beginnings into a thriving community organisation, nurturing generations of rugby union players and contributing significantly to local sport.
